Keeleemeeoomee's works are found in numerous public collections, including
the National Gallery of Canada, the Canadian Museum of Civilization, and
the Inuit Cultural Institute. She was one of a family of artists. She
was born in Qingu, and moved to Cape Dorset around 1966. Her sisters and
daughter contributed many drawings to the Cape Dorset collection. At first
Keeleemeeoomee found drawing difficult and gave it up several times, but
because of the success and encouragement of her daughter she persevered.
She was modest about her efforts, preferring the work of her daughter
and other members of the community.
