... biography ... Born in 1940 in France, Rene le Clere has spent forty years of his active life serving culture and its administration. In addition to being a reporter, he has also organised important meetings of reporter, writers, consultants, teachers, etc. He has written hundreds of articles on various topics, notably on Haiti and Vietnam, some of which were translated into English, Vietnamese, or other languages. René le Clère is a born researcher and has served as an adviser to numerous organizations and individuals. The knowledge acquired in the course of several decades offered him the opportunity to teach at the Diplomatic University of the Government of Vietnam. He has travelled to dozens of countries, and served as a volunteer worker in South America, in Southeast Asia, and as an international civil servant in Haiti. He has been a member of numerous social and cultural associations, both in Canada and abroad, and because of his numerous voluntary activities, he recently received official recognition of the French and Canadian Governments in recognition of his service to the state.
