A visually rich, informative and precise english language publication entitled Beaking Out - New Dance in Hungary 2003 has seen the light of day, presenting the works of Hungary's seven leading new dance companies, including the Yvette Bozsik Company and Central Europe Dance Theater.

Andrew Princz produced the catalogue in order to increase the exposure of Hungarian dance on the international scene. The editor of the dual-language publication DT - Diplomacy and Trade, Andrew Princz produced some 3000 copies of the dance publication, of which 150 were distributed to each company.

Andrew Princz, who has managed the Compagnie Pál Frenák for some two years, had earlier worked for similar Canadian new dance companies. In this capacity, he came into contact with numerous international companies, theaters and festival directors. He told our publication that the catalogue was distributed to some 300 international festivals, including 200 European venues, as well as international Hungarian cultural institutes. In January, 500 copies will be given to the Foreign Ministry, so that with their help it will be distributed to foreign Hungarian embassies. The National Cultural Fund (NKA) assisted in the production of the catalogue with a 750 thousand HUF grant. In addition to the support, the producers solicited advertising, which resulted in a product that broke even financially. While they only recently posted the catalogue, they have already received interest from a Finnish presenter.
